Record the status and the notice position, not just the value
A register that only carries values tells you half the story. Against each change, record its status, instructed, priced, submitted, agreed, and its notice position, whether any time or notice window attaches and whether it has been served. That lets the register answer what is agreed, what is pending and what is at risk without a trawl through the correspondence.
