Document contra-charges the week they arise

A contra-charge asserted unsupported at the final account reads as retaliation and usually dies there. The same charge documented in the week it arose, with photos of the damage, the crane rehire ticket and a note of the conversation, is part of the account. If it cost you money and it was their doing, write it down now or pay it yourself later.
