Position claims and contra-charges honestly while the evidence exists

Loss and expense asserted at the account with no contemporary record reads as opportunism and usually dies; the same claim, logged and evidenced as the cost was incurred, reads as fact. The same holds in reverse for contra-charges you intend to make. Write down the disruption, the extra cost and the cause in the week it happens, so the account states a position you can support.
