Pain Point Consultation

Fixed FeeFor Subcontractors, Main Contractors & Clients2 working days

One pain point, one structured conversation, one written recommendation. You bring the thing that eats your team's hours or keeps going wrong; I bring the Build Menu and the scars of having had the same pain. You leave knowing exactly what I would build, what it runs on, what it would cost to run, and what I would charge to set it up, in writing. If the honest answer is that you do not need me, or do not need AI at all, the recommendation says that instead.

The problem

Most contractors do not need an AI strategy. They need the applications to stop taking two days, or the notices to stop being missed, or the answer to "what did we agree?" to take seconds instead of an evening. But the gap between "we should be using AI" and "this specific system, on these specific records, solving this specific problem" is where money gets wasted, because tools get bought to answer the first question when only the second one matters.

The solution

A structured call on one named pain point, prepared for in advance from a short account you send me. On the call we pin down what the pain actually costs, what records and systems you already have, and which item on the Build Menu answers it, or whether none does. What you get afterwards is a one-page written recommendation: the system I would build, the platforms it runs on, the running cost direction, the set-up route, and what has to be true about your records for it to work. The recommendation is yours either way. It comes with plain-English guides to whatever I recommend, so you can act on it with or without me. There is no obligation to commission anything, and the fee is credited against the set-up if you proceed within a stated period. Each fee is credited once, against the next step you take. Fee fixed in writing when the call is booked.

What you receive

The Handover Pack accompanies the work with its dates and sources, likely outcomes and responses, scope boundaries and ready-to-send correspondence where needed.

Turnaround: two working days from the end of the call.

How it works

  1. You name the pain point in a few sentences when you book

One is enough; the worst calls are the ones about everything.

  2. You send the short pre-call account

Who feels the pain, how often, what it costs in hours or in risk, and what you have already tried.

    • A

      The pain point, named

      Essential

Without it: The call has nothing to work on, so it cannot go ahead as booked.

Where to find it: No documents needed; it is the thing your team already complains about.

Why I need it: It becomes the single question the call answers

    • B

      The pre-call account

      Important

Without it: The cost of the problem becomes Jack's estimate, not yours, until the call tests it.

Where to find it: Written from memory in ten minutes; nothing needs digging out of the files.

Why I need it: It sets the agenda and is quoted back in the recommendation

    • C

      Current systems picture

      Important

Without it: The shortlist gets built on a guess at what you run, not what you actually have.

Where to find it: Whoever pays the subscriptions can list them in minutes.

Why I need it: Every fix has to land in the systems you actually has

Copies are fine. Send what you have and I'll tell you what's missing. Download the client request PDF or editable Word version to pass to whoever holds the files.

  3. I prepare against the Build Menu and against your account

So the call starts at the problem, not at the introductions.

  4. I take the call with you

Structured, on the clock, one problem.

  5. I send the written recommendation within two working days

The fix, the platforms, the route, and the honest caveats, including "not yet" if your records will not support it.

  6. You decide

Commission the set-up, do it yourself with the recommendation in hand, or file it. The fee is credited against a set-up commissioned within the stated period. Each fee is credited once, against the next step you take.

The cheapest way to find out whether any of this is for you. One call, one page, no obligation, and an honest "not yet" costs a great deal less than a tool bought to answer the wrong question. New to all of this? The AI Introduction Session comes first. The menu the call picks from is the Build Menu; what it recommends, the Project Systems Set-up or the Business Systems Set-up builds.
