Self Build Stress Test Model

A blank historical generic worksheet for exploring a self-build project's budget, funding and dated cash position; it is not an approved method-specific model for the new S-107 Pre-build or S-108 Live Build Stress Tests.

This historical generic worksheet keeps a self-build project's baseline, funding position and dated cash position visible at an evidence cut-off without turning an unknown into a favourable result. It is not an approved method-specific model for the new S-107 Pre-build or S-108 Live Build Stress Tests.

What is in the model

Historical generic tool

The original title, product identity, download filename and canonical URL are preserved. This workbook is retained as a free general-purpose worksheet, not presented as an approved method-specific model for either new stress-test service.

Nine working sheets

Summary, Cases, Cash flow, Costs, Funding, Scenario changes, Risks, Evidence and Case record. The blank workbook leaves the project, evidence and inputs for you to enter; its notes tell you where missing information prevents a conclusion.

Six labelled cases

Baseline, Individual sensitivity A, Individual sensitivity B, Combined adverse, Severe hypothetical and Mitigated. Cases 2 to 6 are expressly assumed tests, and funding changes remain hypothetical until confirmed.

Reverse tests record limits

The Case record sheet records the selected target, increment, assumption basis, last passing input and cash, first failing input and cash, tested limit, reviewer/date and evidence revision. It reports a dated, incremented limit rather than an exact threshold from a coarse grid.

Severity and evidence stay separate

The Risks sheet covers ten categories. Severity runs 1 Controlled, 2 Manageable, 3 Action required, 4 Serious and 5 Critical; evidence confidence is Confirmed, Assumption or Unknown, not a probability.

Capacity and boundaries are visible

The workbook notes capacity for 140 cost rows, 40 funding receipts, 120 scenario changes and 60 risks. Extend and recheck the model before exceeding those ranges. It does not assess programme feasibility or mortgage suitability.

A historical generic Excel workbook with no macros, not an approved method-specific S-107 Pre-build or S-108 Live Build model. Yellow cells are inputs, the workbook uses pounds sterling and evidenced zeros, and blank required inputs prevent conclusions. The model does not guarantee completion or provide financial-product, surveying, design, legal, tax or programme advice.
