Read what the contract allows before you claim it

The on-site materials clause has conditions, and whether off-site materials can be claimed at all varies contract to contract, often in the amendments. Read the materials clauses once, at the start, and note what is claimable and on what terms. Claiming beyond what the contract allows draws a cut that spreads suspicion to the honest lines; claiming everything it allows is money you are owed, arriving sooner.
