Late Payment Interest Calculator
The interest your late payments have quietly been earning.
A calculator that puts a number on every late payment: statutory interest at 8% above base, the fixed compensation each late invoice carries, and the daily rate still running. One row per invoice or application; the headline figures total themselves: what is unpaid, the interest to date, and what each further day of silence adds.
What you get

How it works
Enter the debt, the sheet does the dates
Each row takes the sum outstanding, the final date for payment and the date paid, if it ever was. The sheet counts the days late, picks the Bank of England base rate for the right half year and applies the statutory 8% on top.
Interest, compensation and a daily figure
The Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation adds fixed compensation per invoice on top of interest. The calculator totals both, and shows the per-day figure still accruing, which is often the line that gets a payer moving.
Money already owed
Most subcontractors never work interest out because it feels like more trouble than it is worth. This makes it a five-minute job: the entitlement already exists, whether or not you choose to press it.
An Excel template with no macros. Only the yellow cells can be edited, the Guide tab explains every step, and it prints on A4. Your contract's terms override the statutory defaults.
