Construction Act Payment Timeline
One payment cycle, start to finish.
The sheet that maps the payment machinery every UK construction contract runs on: the four dates, the three notices, who serves what and when, and what follows automatically when a notice is missed. Print it, pin it up, and read each cycle against it before the dates arrive, not after.
What you get

What it shows
Four dates, three notices
Due date, payment notice, pay less notice, final date for payment, laid out in order with who serves each notice and the period it must land in, and the Scheme's defaults where the contract is silent or what it says fails the Act.
Automatic consequences, both directions
Miss a payment notice and a valid application can become the notified sum. Miss a pay less notice and the notified sum is payable in full. The sheet marks both, because they cut both ways depending on which side of the payment you sit.
Where the machinery leads
When the final date passes unpaid, the rest of this shelf takes over: interest starts running, the default payment notice becomes available, and suspension and adjudication sit behind it.
A guidance sheet as a two-page A4 PDF: print it, pin it up, or keep it with the contract file. Your contract's terms come first.
